We’re backing the underdog and offering the World’s Worst Quiz Team a chance to redeem themselves in the UK’s easiest pub quiz.

So, if you think your mates are more Weakest Link than Mastermind, we want to hear from you – plus you could bag yourself a £750 cash prize in the process!

Simply fill in the form below before 21 September and explain why your team is terrible at trivia, and you could be one of five teams taking part in the UK’s easiest pub quiz on 5 October.

World’s Worst Quiz Team Entry

  1. The competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 and over (except employees and families of the Promoter and its affiliate companies, agencies and anyone professionally connected with the promotion).
  2. By entering this competition the entrant acknowledges that they have the consent of all team members in their quiz team, and all members agree to be bound by these terms and conditions
  3.  The competition is open from 07:00 on Thursday 31 August to 23:59 on Thursday 21 September 2017.
  4. Five quiz teams will be chosen from all entries received.
  5. The five teams will attend the UK’s Easiest Pub Quiz on Thursday 5 October at a Flaming Grill location in the Midlands.
  6. £100 contribution towards each team’s travel expenses will be provided by the promoter, this includes travel to and from the UK’s Easiest Pub Quiz.
  7. If a team’s total travel amount exceeds £100, the team will be required to pay the excess.
  8. To enter, guests must explain why their pub quiz team is the worst, on the competition form.
  9. There is a maximum of one entry per team. In the event of multiple entries being received from the same person, team or account, only the first entry will be accepted.
  10. Teams are restricted to six team members.
  11. The finalists will be selected by a Greene King judging panel, who will choose their preferred finalists based on who they deem to have provided the best explanation to why the team is the worst at pub quizzes.
  12. The five teams will be contacted by Greene King by Friday 22 September on Facebook, to notify them that they have won, unless otherwise specified.
  13. Full details of the pub quiz and the prize will be supplied to the shortlisted teams following notification. In the event of the original prize being unavailable, The Promoter reserves the right the offer an alternative prize of equivalent value.
  14. Once the teams have been notified that they have been shortlisted, they will have 48 hours to agree to attend the pub quiz. After this time, Flaming Grill reserves the right to pass on the prize to a new winning team.
  15. By entering the competition, entrants agree for their name, and all names of members of their quiz team, and entry to be used by the Promoter in social media communications and any press or marketing material referencing the competition.
  16. Any personal data provided by, and relating to, the entrants will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s consent. Personal data relating to entrants will be retained by the Promoter for a reasonable period after the competition closes to ensure the Promoter operations competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the competition.

 

The Overall Winner

  1. The overall winning team will be determined at the event on Thursday 5 October.  
  2. The winning team will receive a prize fund of £750, which will be transferred to a nominated team member’s bank account on Friday 6 October.
  3. The winning team will be the team that wins the UK’s Easiest Pub Quiz, as organised by the promoter.
  4. There will also be a ‘wooden spoon prize’ for the losing team
  5. The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.
  6. Full details of the prize will be supplied to the winner’s team following notification. In the event of the original prize being unavailable, The Promoter reserves the right the offer an alternative prize of equivalent value.
  7. By entering the competition, entrants agree for their name and all names of members of their quiz team, and entry to be used by the Promoter in social media communications and any press or marketing material referencing the competition.

General terms

  1. The names of the shortlisted teams and overall winner can be obtained by sending a stamped SAE to Flaming Grill competitions, 39-40 Calthorpe Road, Birmingham, B15 1TS. No other correspondence shall be entered concerning the result and the Promoter’s decision is final.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion if, in its absolute discretion, it considers it necessary to do so. The Promoter shall not exercise this right unreasonably.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any entries which it believes to be fraudulent or based on misconduct.
  4. The Promoter and its agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this promotion.
